Toronto, ON – Canada Cartage was selected as a 2019 Top Fleet Employer for the fourth time in a row in the sixth annual Top Fleet Employers program by Trucking HR Canada.

Fleets of every size were rated on topics including recruitment and retention practices, workplace culture, compensation, training and skills development, and innovative HR practices. Related reviews included a comprehensive online application, hard-copy submissions, employee surveys and follow-up interviews.

Recipients included a mixture of for-hire and private fleets from across Canada.

“Our Top Fleet Employers are leaders in promoting a positive image of the trucking and logistics industry,” says Angela Splinter, Chief Executive Officer. “As the competition for skilled workers continues to intensify, their consistently strong HR approaches will help position us an industry of choice.”

“We are pleased and proud to receive the Top Fleet Employer award for the fourth year in a row. This recognition supports our continued commitment to be an employer of choice in the transportation industry,” said Rhonda Leason, Vice President, Human Resources at Canada Cartage. “This accomplishment would not be possible without a strong HR and Operations team across the country, implementing industry best practices, and listening to our employees input and feedback. We want to continue to work towards being the best employer we can be, and ensure that we are a leader in the industry.”

Top Fleet Employers selection criteria, which has been validated by trucking industry experts, is reviewed annually to ensure an accurate reflection of human resources issues, trends, and today’s working environments. A team of human resources professionals oversee the assessment process.
