Toronto, Ont.– Canada Cartage announced it has strengthened its communications and IT infrastructure through a new partnership with Bell.

The company is making a shift towards cloud-based services and has co-located its data operations with Bell’s Q9 Networks. The move will expand capabilities and offer enhanced protection for its IT operations, Canada Cartage says.

“With access to Bell’s network of all-Canadian data centres and robust broadband fibre networks, our partnership makes Canada Cartage’s IT and communications systems more secure and reliable. Along with a number of other initiatives, this move will see Canada Cartage recognized as a technology leader in the transportation industry,” says Daniel Roy, vice-president, information technology and CIO at Canada Cartage.

In addition to data hosting, Bell will also provide Canada Cartage with a range of telecommunication services, including private data networking, wavelength redundancy, wireline voice capability and mobile services.

“As the operator of Canada’s largest network of data centres and most extensive broadband fibre network, Bell is proud to support Canada Cartage’s technology leadership with a complete suite of customized telecommunications and data solutions,” says Gary Isaacs, director of sales for Bell Business Markets. “Canada Cartage has adopted world-class technology to securely and comprehensively serve their customers’ requirements today and for years to come.”
